When i get up in the morning the stud seems to be even with my skin and there seems to be a small scab over it-i can push it back out from the inside-most of the time you cannot even see the stud-i have been cleaning it with the h2ocean stuff but it still keeps sliding bck down into the hole-does this mean the stud is too short or is this normal for the healing process?

Sounds like the stud you're using is too small, barely wider than the hole from the piercing, and the nostril is probably a bit swollen as it heals. Have the stud switched out for one with a larger head that won't slide. I don't think it's a problem with the stud's shaft being too short, but that the decorative end isn't wide enough to hold its place.

omg, that exact same thing happened to me. You couldnt even see the stud because it kept falling in the hole. I called the place where i got my nose pierced, and asked for the girl who did it. She said that the stud probably needed to be re-adjusted.

When i went the next day to get it fixed, she said that everyone's nose is different, and its hard to predict if there will be swelling or not. She took my stud out and fixed it, and it was perfect again.

Thats what i did:) Hope it helps!

If you went to a reputable piercer this is just part of the healing process, when you sleep some pressure is put on it and when it gets a bit crusty on top it must be carefully removed and cleaned. Your nose is moist inside so it takes a bit longer for a nose piercing to be comfortable

You might want to get a bigger stud. It sounds like the stud that you have is too small for the size of your nose hole.

this happens to me everytime i get a piercing. as a matter of fact, i have exactly 57 poercings inside my skin because they keep sliding into my skin and then they get lost in there. so, the moral of the story is, the grass is always greener on the other side.

I've never had my nose pierced so I wouldn't know but I think you should go back to where you had it done and ask for advice really. Hope I've helped

Your nose is swelling up because of the piercing. If it keeps getting inflamed, you might be developing an infection. I would keep a CLOSE eye on that.

Do not think this is normal. When I had mine done and that happened I just put in a bigger stud.
