its a british thing, "carrying on" or "what a carry on" means what a todo, or what a scene, what a hassle...

ps Im a londoner BTW, trust me it isnt anything as profoud as others here are making it, its just a cockey expression

not sure i explained it well enough. Say u see a situation u don't like, maybe friends arguing or something then if u were a londoner u would say " that was a right carry on" meaning that was an annoying fuss or scene . Hope this helps

It means "dust yourself off and get back to what you were doing".
It means, "dont let one bad day ruin your dream, and dont "carry on" about how bad this one single day was. Theres always tomorrow to try again".
