It doesnt matter if you have contacts or allergies. My mother and I have the same twitch. Its actually natural. What happens is, if thers is stress or tension during restlessness, your body sends out a signal, and any part of your body can twitch. Your body just had an impuse that needed to go somewere. It is random, and if you are sleepy or notice someone around you, you can see just some slight movement, it is just your brain. Nothing wrong or deadly.

I got kicked in the face and my eye lid split open a few years ago. I twitched and teared almost incessantly for like a year. Since then, I only twitch when I'm really stressed out. Try a hot bath, and less caffeine.

That can be caused by an infection in your eyelid, or can be caused by eye strain or even nerves and tension. But since you wear contacts, I'd look first at infections as the cause. See your eye doctor.

it maybe you overworked the muscles in the area and now that you are rested they are twitching kinda like when you do no activity for a while then one day run then at night your leg is twitchy.... Get it? either that or your about to have a nervous breakdown

It's usually caused by caffein, or some chemicals in soft drinks.
Quit drinking both for several days, and I'll bet it goes away.
Mine did, and never came back after I stopped drinking coffee & soft drinks.
