Just remember the 3 Ps - Prepare, Present, and Personality. A leader leads mostly through personality, other words put on a show of authority. Let no one challenge your authority, if so use your wits to regain your status. And make sure the challenger knows his or her place in the pecking order. A leader is the boss, act like one, but don't be mean, that'll just make the followers unhappy and uncooperative.
