My friend a guy who I always considered my homeboy sent me a letter and stated "before I end this letter it's something I want you to know. I love you and I always have. I hope I don't offend you. And then he signed Love your best friend *******
I am shocked and I dont know if I should respond back via mail or wait until I see him. But my question is does this mean he likes me romantically?

Yep. The question is..Do you feel the same way? You guys are good friends, so it could work out very well.

Well of course he means it romantically. You should wait till you see him if your going to be seeing him soon. Otherwise respond with the e-mail. He's probably on pins and needles waiting for your response.

I sure would take that as a romantic statement. If he were just showing you the deep affection he has toward you as a friend he would have just stated "love you , your friend******". I hope for his sake that you have similar feelings. Good luck.

Duh.
Either that, or he's lying, but yes, obviously he does, but hey, some people toss around the word "love" like it's nothing, so maybe not.
Just ask him if he means "brotherly love" or "romantic love".

He does. He is in love with you, otherwise it would have been more in a joke kinda way. He wrote he loves you and always has.
I hope you love him too.
