I applied and was accepted for the posityion of Area Assistant for Aqua-terra Inc. I'm not sire whether I'm being scammed or not.

Try looking them up in the Better Business Bureau database

You might also try the state gov't agency dealing with labor/employment in the state where you live

There are companies by that name (according to google and better business bureau). However, you should speak to somebody at the company, and the workers. I don't understand how you don't know if a company that hired you exist or not. Was it all online? Then yes, it's a scam. If there were interviews, reference checks, etc. - they you should look further. Ask them where they are incorporated and then check with that state's better business bureau.

Have not personally heard of them - but whatever their specific field/service - if they are a bona fide company/business then they should be registered with a governing body - find out who that is and make your enquiries there.

aqua terra is an islington based sports company running along side the council.... this is in london.... hope it help's you....
