To be honest, I think we need to get the parents to get involved, to actually be parents, beat, I mean discipline their children. Why depend on a group of people to take care of every body's kids. They need to have a family, not some wackos molding them, but people who care. I think if teachers were able to still spank ALL kids in class, no matter their class, race, religious background, etc. there would be no problems, like in the OLD days! LOL! Seriously, if the kids causing problems in class, and picking on the innocent kids who end up shooting up the schools, were punished, the bullies would think twice before opening their big mouths. Or at least let the parents come and beat, I mean spank their kids, so the kid would learn. Disorder is what is killing the class room.

It is ridiculous, but I believe for the governement to attempt to stop it would also be ridiculous. The loss of a childs life is tragic, but believe it or not there are more dangerous things happening in the world. The children who survive public education still aren't learning anything. There's a war that's boiling in Iraq which will surely reach our shores if we don't stop poking the bee hive. There are people freezing to death in our streets every winter, and dying of dehydration every summer. North Korea is practicing launching their nuclear weapons, while we accuse Iran of just having the basic ingredients. Little girls are starving themselves all over the country because their mothers told them it's prettier- and that's all they think a girl is worth. Pedophiles are in a catch-and-release type program because our jails are too full. Our politicians are working against eachother, instead of together for America. Our government is set up on a model of Laisse-Fair, which means that the government must try to stay out of business as much as possible; but doesn't limit how much influence on governing the corporations can have. We have a 50% divorce rate in this country, and the largest perceived threat to marriage is what gay people call eachother. Social Security, which many Americans are relying on as a source of income once they retire will be bankrupt within the next 20 years. Farmers are going out of business all over the country because it's cheaper to import from places with lower standards of living. I agree that the 20-25 kids who get shot in school every year is an extremely serious problem that needs to be addressed, but I still don't think it should be the one that we drop everything else for.

properly in my section we do have a police officer at each and every college and we in simple terms had a college capturing so as that did not help some thing, we've the recent wands yet they could in elementary words do random searches. we've the bell the position you have to be rung into the college. i think as if music, television and internet has demolished the more youthful kids of in the present day they're uncovered to terrible issues, even as i develop into youthful we did no longer have cell phones and internet noone might want to the right thanks to make bombs and so on. So i think possibly we could continually have everyones facebook or any sort of social networking monitored. moms and dads should be in the youngsters lives extra and quit attempting to be their friends. i do not realize why individuals are saying psychological ailment develop into this kind of priority in this...definite he develop into mentally ill yet me as a figure might want to work out my newborn performing loopy and may want to get them help....So do not tell me there is not any funding for this newborn to get help...any well being middle might want to've saved someone like this and considered through him....i don't understand what else might want to be performed at faculties till you've a cop sit down in each and every class room and that takes away allllll kids freedom...or maybe as someone says God in faculties im sorry yet as a lot as i position self assurance in god how is that going to quit those circumstances from occurring.

You can't stop the shootings. You can, however, arm the school staff, including teachers, to put a quick end to one when it starts (and save innocent lives). Israel arms all school staff, and you do not see mass shootings like this over there.

There are bigger issues in the world then this, you know like Iraq or Afghanistan where 50 people die to violence every day. Usually they are tortured and mutilated to death, just because they are of a different religion.

What would you expect the government to do anyways? Maybe they should pull all our troops from overseas and put them outside your highschool.

Doh!

Well, if everyone had a gun, they could shoot these loonies and stop the body count. Also, it might make the shooter think twice about going in if he knows everyone is locked and loaded.
