Do they use "commercial" products, or make their own? Also, are they allowed to have an epidural during child birth?

I'm not picking on anyone, thanks. I'm doing a report of everyday Amish life, and to make it different, I figured this would be something that no one else put in theirs.

They use commercial products
I've been called many times to drive an Amish woman to the birthing center, but I don't recall anyone talking about epidurals.
The birthing center is a small building set up for Amish births It is ran by doctors and nurses from local hospitals. Last I knew the total charge was $700.00
The Amish typically receive 30% discount when they visit the Emergency Department at the local hospital. The reason is that they don't have insurance. This saves the hospital a lot of paperwork and waiting because the bill is always paid and it's paid in cash.

i once read that amish women used a thing like a cup ,( it kinda looked like a mask like the dr.s wear )which held the blood and then they could rinse it out and re-use...
