I think they exaggerate, sure it may not feel great, but nobody is really looking if they are eating out, sometimes that's the way life is, imagine there are worst things, the people who say that, (I've never heard that before) but the ones who feel that way should be very very glad and thankful they are not in Africa or El Salvador, or any other underdeveloped country, worst than that, where there's famine and suffering and people are truly hurting and have nothing to eat, where children die daily, they are not even 5 years old. That is deadly. I can eat alone any day, I do all the time, when I'm home, I don't really see anything wrong with that, I don't feel bad. I feel bad about not helping others when they really need it, or you see people dying everywhere in the world, that, is something to feel bad about.

Well, maybe they mean they don't find it interesting or that it makes them feel lonely. I enjoy eating alone most of the time lol.
