Don't worry there are tons of people in the same boat!!

This is what the Fisher Price website has to say:

"We’re tickled that you love him as much as we do!
It’s no secret now: T.M.X. Elmo is one popular character! So popular, in fact, that he has sold out at the Fisher-Price and will not be available until 2007. We’re very sorry to disappoint you, and suggest you check with your local retailers"

So it's definitely possible that people are going to go crazy for it at Christmas. I got one for my daughter for regular price but my husband thinks we should sell it and wait until the new year to get her one (she's 12 months old, so she doesn't buy into the hype yet, Thank god!) but I think we'll hold on to the one we have and be happy with it.

Well as far as I'm concerned, the only "Tickle-Me-Elmo" toys I've been seeing are just those toys that vibrate but after seeing the actual demo of the product, I have to say that it's really an interesting toy for children. Some people will probably buy it after 1-2 years since it's becoming an expensive toy.

Tickle Me Elmo TMX is DEFINITELY worth the cost and the hype isn't something made by the company. It's seriously worth it. I was gonna buy one for myself 'cause he falls down and cracks up and I'm a 13yr old guy! That's pretty sweet. But they should make one where it DIES from laughing to much when u tickle it too much....the would be off the chain!!!!

I think its worth it, but again I did get mine at regular price for $34.99. It is a Christmas present to my 6 month old daughter, she loves Elmo. I think closer to Christmas people are going to be paying a fortune just to have one.

I don't know but they are pretty popular now. They only sell in the stores for 40.00. Target is giving out gift cards to the people that want one on reserve. I heard they are going on eBay right now for over 100. But who knows I guess you will have to wait til Christmas to find out. Good luck on your small fortune hopefully.

If you bought it because you wanted one, thats fine. If you bought it hoping to resell it at christmas time, I think you will be very disappointed. I saw the thing on TV, and i wasn't impressed.
