I am now 3-4 days past the days the ovulation calender told me i would be ovulating, and my CM is very watery. My underwear are slightly damp with a clear liquid. I have had sex the days leading up to ovulation according to the calander, but my question is could i be ovulating later than the chart says? Or possibly having an extended ovulation cycle? I am a standard 28 day cylce, 14 day luteal phase girl, so, would you recommend having sex continually after my said "fertile period" in hopes of conceiving?? Any thoughts or personal experiences would be most helpful thank you!!

I would try every 3 days, whether you are ovulating or not. Thats what we did, I am pretty pregnant now.

Your luteal phase is the time between ovulation and your next period. Therefore, if you are ovulating on day 14 and have a 28 day cycle then your luteal phase is 14 days. However, if you are ovulating later than day 14 with a 28 day cycle then you may have a luteal phase defect, which means your lining doesn't have enough time to thinken enough to sustain a pregnancy. Not everyone ovulates at the same time each month, even with a regular cycle. Therefore, you need to find out if/when you are ovulating for sure. You only have a 24 hour window when your egg is released, but sperm can live up to 5 days, so having sex just before ovulation is good. If you are still having raw egg white cervical mucus, continue having sex. If you don't conceive this month, talk to your OB about your ovulation time.

I had a 28 day cycle, but I wasn't ovulating until day 17-18. My OB said that it was too late in my cycle and that I have a luteal phase defect. He gave me Clomid to help me ovulate earlier in my cycle and progesterone to take from day 16 of my cycle to help sustain my lining. I have one healthy daughter and I am ttc again.

Check out fertilityfriend.com. They have good information about the ovulation signs. Good luck!

I'm having the same problem. Its been three months now and i'm still not pregnant. And i've been watching my ovulation calendar too. I don't think there's anyway to tell exactly when you're ovualting. I use it for a general idea of when i'm ovulating. I would have have sex two day before you ovulate and have it every other day. I've read that an egg is usually fertilized by sperm that's already there.
I have a couple more days before i find out if i'm pregnant. crossing my fingers. :-) Good luck.

I have used those charts too but it turns out that they were completely wrong for me and we ended up wasting so many months because of those. I am a regular 30 day cycle and finally bought a fertility monitor and it shows that i ovulate at day 25!!! I am now about 12 days late but afraid to take a test because i was disappointed before. We are now wishing we went straight to the fertility monitor.

i would say that you probably are ovulating. i was the same way with my CM and i got pregnant. I would say go ahead and keep having sex until you have missed your period. Sometimes your cycle can be thrown off by stress or other factors. I went from have a 30 cycle to a 35 to 40 day cycle when I was trying to get pregnant. Good luck!

On Clomid you'll regularly ovulate 5-10 days after taking your very last pill. it may truly delay ovulation because it helps your eggs to mature and be extra perfect high quality. good luck!
