I know it's the guns that didn't kill the people, but it was the people shooting the guns. But with 3 school shooting ( Colorado, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania) within such a short time, isn't this a wake up call that we need strcter laws?

to Uncle Tom - at least with a baseball bat, there is a high chance of it being stoped, and a high chance for survival (versus a gun). So your argument in invalid

Yes...

I want to say so much more... but the point that we need to emphasize is "efficient gun control."

Your were right the first quote, guns don't kill people, people do. I am a proud owner of many guns and I don't think I need any more control over my life than what is already there. Impossing more rules and regulations is not the solution. There really is none. I don't like what is happening either, but blaming guns isn't the right thing to do. If someone came after you with a baseball bat or knife are you going to be willing to try and stop them? Don't take this wrong but I wouldn't unless it was my kids in my own home, but you know what THAT IS WHY I CARRY A GUN!! That is the FREEDOM of AMERICA. Don't blame the gun, blame the person being a @ss hole!!!!!!!

Yes, I Agree 100%, We Need People Control Not Gun Control, you don't want to Piss Off Advocates for the NRA.

But at the Same Time we Must Secure All School in America Like we do Airports, Court Houses and Government Office Buildings.

You know there is not a "rash" of school shootings like so many have said. These are very rare occurences. If you want them to stop, then teach your children about the true violence of using a gun. When I was young I was taken to the gun range and my father let me learn how to fire a weapon. Everyone in my family has been taught the same way. THE PROBLEM IS NOT GUN CONTROL IT IS GUN EDUCATION!! When my 10 year old son turns 14 he will be taught the same lessons I was about guns and what power they have.
People today think children are so innocent and niave. When I was a kid we were treated just like little adults, if we messed up, we were punished and not just by going to our rooms, which by the way, is now a virtual playground for most kids (where is the punishment in that), we were made to wait for our father and got swats for doing wrong and no one in my age group shot up schools.
Read your bible's people it is okay to punish your kids just not to excess. Sometimes they need a good slap on the butt. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

No, look at London and Australia. Both banned guns and now, like the bumper sticker said, only outlaws have them, crime in London jumped 300%.

Anyway, right now I am law abiding, but I would never surrender my guns. Better to go out fighting for my freedom.

Addition, after ready what everyone else wrote, do any of you folks know the shooter was 32 years old. I think his mommy and daddy lost control long ago.

I think the parents. How can your kid bring an arsenal of guns into your house and you not know it. Who runs your house. I mean, even the most pro gunners MUST feel that a 16 year old does not need to keep a multitude of weapons in his room nor should he be allowed to play willie nillie with his friends with them. That is not gun control it is responsibility. I say beat the hell out the parents with a cat-o-nine-tails, that teach you to have kids you have no concern for!!!!!!! Worse than ghetto crack babie I swear!!!!

And if you take away the guns, then what? When the kid grabs his baseball bat and beats the brains out of a fellow student this will be better in your opinion? The problem is not the guns. It is the person holding the guns.

The problem is not guns, Parents should have guns in a safe locked place. Criminals will always find a way to get guns.honest
persons should have a right to have and bear arms.
