It as now been proposed that we are to stop calling a YOB a YOB because it might hurt his/her feelings...you couldnt make it up could you.

jeeezzzz.... A yob is a thug,scumbag,hoodie..whatever you want to call them..but dont shout it as you might get arrested for upsetting the poor things.

Yes. What an absolute load of cr*p!! What IS going on in this country!!
Cindy Butts, the police authority's deputy chairman, told Sir Ian Blair that the term was 'alienating'.?????
She added: "I have a problem with the language of 'yobs'. It sort of sets up and defines too much a 'self' and 'other'."
Assistant Commissioner Tim Godwin agreed, saying: "I'm sorry about that. We won't use that again."
Afterwards Mr Godwin confirmed that the use of 'yobs' would not be repeated in Met documentation and was now officially banned.
Cindy Butts needs to get a life! I would have thought there are more urgent matters that need addressing in this country!!!!.

In virtually all of my postings I'm constantly warning against the "politically correct" crowd and how it will be intensified a million-fold should the Dems regain power again. And now I'm told we can't rag on YOBs? Nothing will stop me from calling a YOB exactly what it is.....a YOB! Now would somebody--for the love of God--tell me what the devil a YOB is??

A Yob by definition is a "Rowdy and Violent" young man. So why the hell can"t we call them Yobs, because that is what they are. Why don"t the people of this country fund a bloody big rocket ship, put all the "PC" brigade on board, send it to Mars and let them **** with the Aliens. It would give all of us a rest from these government funded idiots that sit on their arses all day dreaming up another mind boggling idea to further our society.

There is a simple solution to this one.
If they don't want to be called YOBS then they should stop acting in a manner that causes us to call them YOBS.
As for their poor, injured feelings - WHY should we CARE when they persist in making other peoples live HELL and in some cases force them to live in fear or have to move home.
Well, the whole thing is ridiculous and I suggest we DON'T stop calling a YOB a YOB. Surely, HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY?

I read in our local paper about a women and her to small children who were being taunted by a group of yobs, so the mother bundled the kids in the car and raced off, she was pulled over by the cops and done for reckless driving and for not having the kids in there car seats, the yobs got away Scott free... can you believe it, I wish Batman would come and clean up the streets

A yob is a yob. Time somebody sacked that bleeding-heart tw@t of a commissioner, Ian Blair, the toady-in-chief. (He's not worthy of being referred to by his title. How in the name of shite did he get knighted anyway? Pity the sword didn't slip!).
The 'Met' has become a joke under his leadership (if that's the right word to use). Who the f*** is he to tell us how to refer to the nasty little miscreants whose feelings he doesn't want to hurt? He wouldn't be so damned accommodating to them if they broke into his house or mugged one of his family, would he?
This total stupidity makes me puke my guts up. Get rid of that lefty w@nker, and give the job to somebody like Norman Tebbitt. He definitely doesn't mince his words, and believes that action speaks louder than words anyway. No-one would dare f*** with the "Chingford Skinhead" (not unless they had a death-wish).

You know, just because some intense, bleeding-heart liberal tells you how to speak, there is nothing to make you do it. Our problem is that, at heart, we are just like the Germans and follow like sheep any instruction we are given. Perhaps we should be more like the French and make up our own minds.
Just for the record, by definition and tradition, and in undeniable fact, yobs are the scum that drags society down. They should be gassed and buried.

as far as i am concerned, a yob is a yob, i am not vertically challenged i am short, my dustbin liners are still black bags, the entrances to holes in the ground are still manholes, i am not british i am english, and i still sing baa baa black sheep to my grandchildren.
so all you pc brigade out there can get stuffed.
