the nouns in this sentence. Jealousy and hatred are feelings that no one wants to experience.
I just can't seem to grasp the thing about ideas and quality being a noun. What constitutes each? O.K. so that is 2 questions.

jealousy
hatred
feelings

A noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea.

Try this: say to yourself, ___________ is a thing.

__________ is a place.

__________ is a person.

__________ is an idea.

Do this just for the word as it is used in the sentence.

So you would say "jealously is a thing or idea."

In this sentence, 'experience" is not a thing. This can be confusing. Just concentrate on the way the word is used in the sentence.

If you say, "I had a good experience," then "experience" is a noun.

If you say, "I want to experience skydiving," then "experience" is a verb.

Jealousy is a noun because it is the idea that you are jealous of someone else. Hatred is a noun the same way jealous is a noun. Feelings are also ideas. The idea that you hate someone, love them, are mad at them, are worried about them are all nouns. For example: I've got worries about my son, who is so small, about playing football. 'Worries' is the noun because they said that they HAD worries which means that idea was in their possession and a possession, whether it be an object or an idea, is always a noun. Hope this helps.

Jealousy and hatred are both nouns. Feelings is a plural noun. Experience is a verb. Example: I experience the feelings of jealousy and hatred.
