Don't worry hon, every child is different. I have three kids, and each one developed differently. My second child is a go-getter, he rolled over, walked and talked fairly early. My third child however, is sooo chill. I was worried too when she was that age. All she would do is lie on her back and smile! (why oh why did I fret?). I remember she finally started crawling the day before she turned nine months. She is a few weeks over a year now, and perfectly content with crawling. You can't push babies to do anything, just wait and enjoy where they are now.

That being said, if you are still worried, ask your doctor. If he says your child is fine, then believe him and don't fret. :-)

Absolutely its OK! My daughter was just a little younger than yours when she first rolled over (at 5 mths), but a friend's girl didnt roll over until she was 8 or 9 mths and there is no sign of anything abnormal with her. She didnt start crawling even in its first stage (creeping I believe it is called) until 8 mths. According to my baby book, the avg age for crawling is 7 1/2 to 9 mths. Also, crawling is considered an 'optional' milestone, some babies go right from crawling to walking.

Now at 11 mths my girl is practicing walking but still needs to hold on to me or the furniture or else she falls over.

Remember, each baby is different and meet milestones when they feel like it. If you are really concerned, at your next appt ck with your pediatrician.

Yes, it's totally fine. She should at least be trying to roll over, though... Practice and play with her on floor and make sure she gets a lot of "tummy time." It definitely made a difference with my two daughters! The first one got less tummy time due to me just wanting to hold her! My second gets a TON of time laying on the floor and is very active. At any rate, crawling might not happen until nine or ten months even. If you trust and know your pediatrician, and they don't seem concerned, I wouldn't be either. Again, as long as your child is showing an interest to be mobile and active, it's all good! It might just take her little time to figure out the best ways to get around!

Yes thats fine.. My son is no where near crawling yet and hes 6 1/2 months old. He is just learning to sit up. Some babies never crawl and its not uncommon for babies to roll over later than other babies.

I have had four children. None of them were rolling or crawling at that age. They usually started at approx. ten months. Within one week my oldest went from not rolling to rolling over, crawling and pulling up! By six months a baby should be able to sit well and hold things.

It's probably fine, but you should bring it up at her next dr. appointment. My son didn't start rolling over untill he was almost six months old and for a long time it was only one direction and only from tummy to back. Make sure you're giving her at least twenty minutes of tummy time every day, more if she'll put up with it. It'll come. As far as crwling don't worry at all. Some kids never crawl, they just roll or scoot and then walk.

Maybe you could mention it to your doctor and see what he/she says. Every baby develops on their own pace. My son is a little over 8 months old and just now started sitting up on his own although he has been crawling for months. A couple days ago he started pulling up all the way also. Don't worry about it. When your baby is ready to do those things he/she will. Good Luck!!

My baby didn't start rolling over until over 8 months and not to get to things. He doesn't crawl yet either, but he can sit up and butt scoot around a little bit.

my daughter didn't roll over until 7 1/2 months and didn't crawl until 81/2 months. then she was off!! hasn't stopped since. she is really tall so she didn't walk alone until 13 1/2 months. don't worry. enjoy it while she isn't that movable! she will get there and then, there is no turning back! good luck!

Some children learn to walk without ever crawling, if she's not walking before the age of 18 months then be concerned.
