My wife has male friends, I have female friends. Some are single some are married. Its not a problem.
It takes a very secure relationship, without jealousy, built on years of trust. Not everybody can pull it off, most people are too immature or selfish.

Double standard, jealously, whatever...There should be no difference. My wife is very outgoing and she has lots of male friends. It doesn't bother me one bit.
Although I could imagine how a married man might think that something is going on between his wife and one of her male friends if, recently or in the past, he has cheated on someone with one of his female friends.
