Yes, I agree with you. I averaged around 500 words per page, so the whole book could contain around 100,000 words.
Regarding your questions about lenght of famous novels, I am writing you from Mexico and I have just read Spanish texts and only few English novels.
It depends on the character size and editor´s quallity but I can tell some famous novels I have read:
Don Quijote (aprox. 1200 pages x 400 words each one in average in my edition) : about 500,000 words
Las Mil y Una Noches (One Thousand and One Nights my edition with aprox. 4,000 pages and 400 words each one) about 1,600,000 words.
Veinte mil Leguas de Viaje Submarino (Jules Verne - my edition aprox. 420 pages and 500 words each one) about 210,000 words.
Pedro Páramo (Juan Rulfo my edition aprox. 240 pag. and 400 words each one) about 100,000 words.
El Señor de los Anillos (Lord of the Rings - in my edition 1,400 pages and 400 words each one) about 560,000 words.
Good luck!

A proper estimate would be about 400 words per page. So, a 200 page novel is about 80,000 words. A novella is 50-100 pages and about 20,000-40,000 words. So, yes, you are pretty close to correct.

That is im[possible to answer not talking print size I am talking word size. The words me, a, my are small words and several can fit into the size that important can take up. Just write and see what you turn out. Short stories can be collated and made into a novel, so if a complete novel is out of the question then write short stories.

Industry standard is actually 250 words per page. Authors never refer to works in terms of number of pages, always words, but by industry standard, you have just short of 121 pages. Why all the emphasis on pages?? Just write until the story is done. An editor is going to change all that anyway once they get hold of it and start using that infamous red pen. Relax. You cannot write and worry about page numbers. Just write and focus on your story. Pax-C

the average page has about 250 words so a 200 page novel would have, on average, about 50,000 words. however, most novels would have more than this and a good average is actually 80,000 for more classical works.

You should figure approximately 250 words per page. Therefore a 200 page book has about 50,000 words.

A novel cannot be counted by pages, a novel is an Artistic work, to put any such limits and constraints on art is like Patriot Act or some such silly cencorship.
Don Quioxte is 228 pages in one book I have, and it is 569 pages , same aurthor, title, different Binder.
