I want picture and text messaging. Nothing month to month but more of a pay-as-you-go.

i would say tmobile but their range still sucks but u receive the txt messages for free and there isnt that $1 a day rip off stuff, and no contract

Cingular and Verizon are the largest companies and with their prepaid you can call mobile to mobile unlimited. Pay as you go.
This is good if his friends are on these carriers
They both have noncontract prepaid plans that also gives you a bucket of minutes with mobile to mobile and n/w.

im 15...i had a virgin mobile awesome phone it has an MP3 player and a camera and all for $150
