nope... most japenese cars are now being built here in the us by americans.

My 2006 Pontiac GTO has a few american parts. And a whole lot from Down Under. GMC Denali, Cadi Esclade, Chey Surburban are ALL AMERICAN

lol in the auto industry there actually is (was?) 1 car made in the U.S.A. Would you believe the Honda Civic, in Ohio! All of the other cars are either built outside the U.S. or the parts are and they are assembled in the U.S. Remember the Ford Escort slogan of "the best selling car made in North America"? Mexico IS part of North America!

I have the opposite in my 1 of 109 produced 1989 Mazda RX-7 GTU-S. The car was built in Japan, but most of the plastic work inside is labeled "Made in Detroit".

Yes there is but I think you would have to go to another country to buy American made anything.
