I bet U there are more cuban cigars here in Miami that IN GERMANY, despite that ridiculous embargo

I'm sure you know the US has an embargo against the importing of products from Cuba. The Cuban anti-Castro emigrants in Miami have a very strong lobby and fiercely resist any changes in those embargo restrictions.

Because of a long standing embargo that the USA imposed on trade with Cuba back in the early 1960s when Castro rose to power.

The USA banned trade with Cuba and has never lifted the ban. So Cubanas are smuggled in.

The U.S. Government imposed a trade embargo on Cuba in the early 60's so it's illegal to import anything from Cuba into the U.S. As with anything else, when it's made illegal, the price goes up and the quantity gets scarce.

They're illegal. An embargo was imposed more than 40 years ago and right-wingers have refused to recognize the reality that they've done nothing but strengthen Castro by giving him someone to blame.

it is because of the Cuban MIssle crisis in 1954, when the USSR had ICMB's in Cuba pointed at New York and Washington ready to blow the hell out of America. Thank goodness for JFK.
