In formal papers like compositions you should not use bullet points. Instead do something like:
"I deserve a pet alligator bc I blah blah blah, blah blah blah, and finally because blah blah blah. "

The commas will seperate your reasons and that will make up your thesis statement. Then in the paragraphs following, you will explain your reasons in more detail.

I wouldn't do it. A composition is an essay. Write it in paragraphs -- don't make a list. Using your example, think of three reasons why you deserve a pet alligator. Open your essay and use those three reasons, then write a paragraph each about the reasons, then write a closing paragraph.

No, you can't have a ordered or bulleted list in composition.

What you can do is phrase it in a paragrah(s).

"I believe i deserve a pet alligator for the following reasons: Firstly, ABC. Secondly, DEF. And finally, XYZ."
