Venezuela Dictator Hugo Chavez has vowed to bring down the U.S. Government. Chavez, president of Venezuela, told a TV audience ?: "Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. Empire. We have to bury imperialism this century." The guest on his television program, beamed across Venezuela, was Cindy Sheehan, the antiwar activist. Chavez recently had as his guest Harry Belafonte, who called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world." Chavez is pushing a socialist revolution and has a close alliance with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Regardless of your feelings about the war in Iraq, the issue here is that we have a socialist dictator vowing to bring down the government of the U.S. And he is using our money to achieve his goal! The Venezuela government, run by dictator Chavez, is the sole owner of Citgo ?gas company. Sales of products at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our government.

Take Action

Please decide that you will not be shopping at a Citgo station. Why should U.S. Citizens who love freedom be financing a dictator who has vowed to take down our government?

Very important. Please forward this to your friends and family. Most of them don't know that Citgo is owned by the Venezuela government.

I have already boycotted Citgo because of this. It was my most convenient, one of the lowest priced stations, but I will no longer give them my business. All good Americans will do also. Anyone who supports Chavez should move to Venezuela or Iran.

I have stopped buying gasoline from Citco station and I have been to Venezuela and seen his crazy man's country. He has a agenda to promote his communist idea's across the South America as well as bringing down the USA. What many of all of you that will buy his cheap gasoline is that it will and smile about it.. will be the first to cry for help when someone like him causes hurt and distress from his cronies. Those of you who think that buying his gas doesn't hurt him think again. If the USA would stop buying petroleum from his country it would mean a 5 % reduction in his income. To put it in perspective. If you had a 5% cut in your income you would scream bloody murder. He has the right to say what he wants to say, that is true... but to come here to USA soil and spit on the government and the President is like me coming into you house and calling your mother a ***** or even worse. I am sure those of you that don't like Bush that seems OK with you but remember He has told us he is working against us and wants to bring down our lifestyle. How do you know that he has not ordered his men to put something in the gasoline that goes into your cars. Remember he is a radical and can easily support the terrorist regime that we are at war with. So those of you that think small .. be sure you gas up and help your next leader of America try to bring us down.

So then what happens is Citgo, who has several joint venture refineries here just sells the extra gasoline to their partner or to independent gas distributors and you'll never know whose gas you're buying. On top of that, what about the millions of barrels of gasoline that Venezuela shiops here to all of the major and indenpendent refineries? Even if we don't buy from Citgo stations we are stll buying Venezuelan crude oil.

There are brokers that shop the refineries looking for excess gasoline, or who promise to buy and excess capacity. To make a difference you have to have the government ban importing oil from Venezuela. But they won't because prices would skyrocket, independent refineries would go shut down because the would have to import oil from the Middle East but can't because there is no excess tanker room in the world.

So if it makes you feel better don't shop Citgo, but be just know that as long as we buy crude from there we are still Chavez' best customer.

I only get gas at Citgo. I know with Citgo a large part of the oil revenue helps feed poor people and I am not supporting Saudi Arabian oil which is where some of the 911 hijackers came from. Chavez has stated more then once that his problem is with Bush not the American people and has offered to send money and oil to the Louisiana area but the Bush administration turned him down so it made it alittle harder for us. At the UN Bush got 10sec. applause
and Chavez got 20 plus sec. applause from the world when he called Bush the devil. Chavez may hang out with some shady catz but so does Bush.

Well, there aren't any Citgo stations where I am, but I wouldn't use them now even if there were.

Yes, Nick, free speech is great, but I can still choose whether I agree with Chavez's position or not. And that is the glory of capitalizism. I can choose to give my business to whomever I want. And, I choose not to give it to Chavez or his associates.

And Nordic_Winds...: Citgo is not run by 7 Eleven. 7 Eleven simply carries their gas. Read up a little more before you make such claims. Citgo is an independent company.

Americans love competition. Democracy gives us choices and is the grease for our economy with our own decisions based on prejudices, beliefs, and moral values. Giving back to the economy is always good for all businesses - the market returns are phenomenal.

We need more small minds like Chavez to reassure political agenda's of people we select to lead our future. People we select as leaders have no monopoly on how the economy runs. War is competition. People like Chavez assures me that people like you will stand up and take action - democracy knows no prejudice.

No, those are Americans that I buy gas from at the citgo, would you boycott Shell if the Royal Dutch disagreed with us. I find that what Chavez said is an exercize in freedom and he has not only a right to feel it but to say it.

First, if Citco was to continue to sell gas supplied by Chavez, I would not let that stand in my way of filling my tank with affordable gas.

However, Citgo, ran by 7 eleven, will no longer be carrying the gas from Chavez due to the anti-Venezulan-Chavez comments and feelings after Chavez expressed his opinion of Bush.

So this question is no longer really a question.

Unfortunately this will only make a small dent in Chavez's pocket. We get so mouch oil from them that Venezuela's oil is in the gas from virtually every station you pass.

With that said, take every penny you can out of that ******'s pocket!! by not buying Citgo!
