Fairies, definately, its nice having a being at the top of the true, looking benevolently over your celebrations. This is probably based on my own experiences of Christmas tree, we used to have a really beautiful porcelain fairy in a white velvet dress that I loved, but a really crap gold wire star that only ever went on wonky. Then the fairies face broke and Christmas was ruined forever.

I think by fairy you mean Angel. By putting a fairy on top of the tree you are probably celebrating Christmas as a random Holiday instaid of the birth of Christ, but if you don't beleive in that, I dont mean to offend you.
Now, both the angel and the star are represenative. The Star represents the north star that the wise men followed. The angel is my choice because it is more direct and I dont see the Wisemen as being more important to the story. The angel represents the angel that told them they were having the son of God.

Neither. We have an angel. Some are rather tacky looking, but ours is beautiful. She has a beautifully moulded face, and blonde hair, and wears a gold satin dress which fits over the top of the tree perfectly. I guess if you're religious, the star is better, as you are following the star to Salvation, the birth of the the saviour, but the angel is equally as poinant in Christianity, as in Angel Gabriel. Personally I prefer the Angel on the top if the tree, but it's personal choice, and it's to do with waht Christmas means to you I guess.

Angel this year, star last year.

Fibre optic multi-changing colour tree is a must though. They are much more effective than those old fashioned lights. Also when the bulb goes, there is only one bulb to change! It's practical as well as more effective.

I would have to say Christmas trees as you only see them for a short period time each year and they are pretty.

I'd invite all three, although Christmas trees might find it difficult to find suitable transportation.
