I say let the punishment fit the crime. If you have enough DWI's you loose your drivers license and driving privileges! Three time loosers loose their freedom permanently. Repeat sex offenders should loose something important, don't you think? Maybe like the loss of ability to have sex?. I say chemical and/or surgical sterilization would fill the bill, but I doubt if we will ever see that in general use. I also think that severe cases might even get the death penalty. Why aren't we doing enough? IMHO because it is very difficult to prove beyond a doubt that this crime has been committed in many cases. It generally comes down to one persons word over anothers and the lingering doubt as to guilt. It is always going to be a major problem in our legal system and I don't think we can do much about it sorry to say.

Send them to jail and don't give them protection or solitary.

Men in jail have a lot of "rules" and people who are convicted of harming women and children do not get treated well at all. My uderstanding is that the guards always look the other way as well!

If you don't think we are doing enough, contact your legislators and tell them that stricter laws are a priority for you. Sex offenders leave jail because only after they serve a full sentence and judges like to give as long of sentences as they are allowed to under law.

First of all the people are sick beyond control of their morals and need help, but will help cure them of therir disease is the question. Apperently the rpoblem is ecalating and were going no where as citizens to stop it except for offenders are listed and not allowed near schools and such, but they still have the problem and that is where your question is viable for a very good answer and I don't have it.
Incarceration for life seems to be the best answer. Stronger laws and punishiment for offenders and that is the only resolution I see.

That depends on the level of severity, if you have for example willing 16 year old and willing 18 year old, nothing. If it's outright rape or someone knowingly participating in sexual acts with a child, castration...slow and painful castration. I think more would be done if there weren't so many grey areas, and we didn't live in a society where people lie for personal gain or to avoid responsibility.

The best punishment for a sex offender is to put them in an empty room and leave them alone with the relative/loved ones of the there victim and let them deal with them and there fate !

castration and lifetime incarceration, also no statutes of limitations. And to those who think these sickos can be rehabilitated, wait till it happens to you or your child! There is no cure for such a sick compulsion, these people get out of jail and go on to molest kids all over again.

I'd say castration but that will never be allowed. In a prison over here (UK), a child molester was held down in prison and the inmates tattoes 'katies revenge' on his forehead as a permanent reminder of what he'd done.
