Here is a secret - Everyone knows you menstruate!!

Commercial sanitary product manufacturers make money from making girls and women feel bad about their period – you have to have rustle-proof pad wrappers to keep it secret, bleached white products to keep you clean, scented products to prevent smell - you don't need any of those things at all, they just support these ideas to keep their customer base loyal to them. It is essentially brainwashing telling you that you should feel ashamed about having your period; it's insulting not "hassle-free".

What is there to be ashamed of or embarrassed about?

There is nothing embarrassing about having your period, when you get more comfortable about these things you may realise this, however for the time being just consider when you are in the bathroom you are surrounded by other girls and women who also menstruate, they also use pads, tampons, sponges, cups, etc.
If you spend all your time worrying about who might know you are on your period it makes periods a lot of hassle, periods are only as good or as bad as you make them after all. A lot of women make it a point to tell everyone about menstruation because there are a lot of important life and death issues that people don't talk about because they are embarrassed about menstruation.

If you really insist on hiding your period then you could always avoid commercial or organic pads all together and change over to cloth pads, homemade pads or padded panties, as they don't come with wrapping they don't make any noise – they are also far cheaper, environmentally friendly, and most importantly a lot healthier for you.

[It's through not being embarrassed about menstruation we have safer menstrual options, more women who know about how to care for their body and we have funky menstrual options like leopard-skin or Halloween print design sanitary pads and sanitary belts that are fashionable right now!]

~I think what they mean by saying no one will even know you are on your period is that the pad/tampon protects you so well you won't bleed through it.

~As for wrappers being noisy, I think every package that holds a tampon or a pad has that noise.

~Thing is, though, is that women **not girls** don't care when other women are on their period. They don't get made fun of, they are sympathized with. If your a healthy female, you have a period.

You can try to cough when you are opening the wrapper. I've done that so many times..still do!

Kotex do a brand that they say is quiet to open:

Kotex® knows that feeling great is all about confidence and that's why they've thought of the little things to make your periods as hassle-free as possible; no-one wants a pad that lets everyone in the cubicles around you know exactly what you're doing! That's why Kotex® has come up with new Ultra Thin, Ultra Quiet pads. They have a rustle-free wrapper and quiet peel strip so your period stays private even in public.

that's all relative.to some volume that's honest, yet i imagine that has been a debate because centuries. for my section i believe that the needs of the numerous trump the needs of the few, on the opportunity of sounding too very like a well-loved individual trek fan. So possibly each and every thing is honest in conflict and not in any respect love, in case your love is restricted to one individual. If we go through the saying of needs of many being more suitable, then obviously that's valid in the context of wars! . yet now we will get into the argument that wars are brutal and major and ought to no longer ensue! So we would want to deduce, that no, each and every thing isn't fairi n love and in conflict, strictly talking in words of morality and common sense.

Yes Kotex and they have a red flower on the pack but they aren't really noise free because when you peel the thing off so it sticks to your panties you can hear it its so dumb grrr
