Type in your search bar "side effects of ambien" and you will pull up all of the information you need. I wouldn't take these pills! They are also very addictive. Why don't you just get some Melatonin supplements, all natural, non-addictive, and sleep like a baby. Or, another good one is Calms by Highland brand. Great for sleep, PMS, and nervous tension. Both can be purchased at Wal-mart or any vitamin/nutrition store very inexpensively. A natural way to sleep is better that chemically induced sleep. Not very healthy! Get rid of the Ambien and go all natural! Good Luck!

• A problem that may occur when sleep medicines are stopped is known as "rebound insomnia." This means that a person may have more trouble sleeping the first few nights after the medicine is stopped than before starting the medicine. If you should experience rebound insomnia, do not get discouraged. This problem usually goes away on its own after 1 or 2 nights
• Zolpidem is habit forming. Stopping this medication suddenly can cause withdrawal effects if you have taken it continuously for several weeks. Talk to your doctor about the safe use of this medication.

(Zolpidem is the generic for Ambien) -- Doesn't seem to mention anything about the liver.
