If you're actually in the eruption itself then there is little you can do. It gets pretty hot when molten rock is concerned.

You would need a gas mask with a respirator, a way to escape (vehicle) and some sort of heat retardant covering to wear while you are going to your vehicle.

You can't... best bet is NOT to be there.

Even if the explosive hot lava didn't incinerate you, you would probably suffocate from all the volcanic ash.

If you're *in* the eruption, you're already dead from the heat and noxious gasses.
