MTV stopped playing MUSIC a long time ago. They should change their name to RTV (Rap Television) so we can spray-paint a "C" in front of it where it belongs. RAP IS CRAP!!!

MTV hasn't been what it used to be for a long, long time. That's why they keep making all their subsidiary channels, MTV2, MTV Hits, not to mention the specialist dance etc ones. They seem to have discovered that they get better ratings for showing celebrity/house/car makeover bull-poop than for what they claim to be - music television. It's a shame, but at least with the internet we can still access what we like, when we want it. If we stop watching, their loss is our gain in that sense.

Whatever it is, I'm sure I won't like it, but I don't care if YOU do! I've still got my 50's records (you know, the round things with the hole in the middle) and thats enough to keep me happy. I thought they stopped a long time ago, at least in general. Mtv sucks and has for a long time.

MTV has stopped playing any decent videos. It's all lame shows, music "news", and other non-video crapola.

Because they don't play very many videos anyway, and mostly they take their playlist from the voting for T.R.L. As the people voting on T.R.L. are predominately pre-teen girls, not many metal videos make the cut.

you'll have to check out MTV2's Headbanger's Ball, cause that's the only place you're going to see any metal.
