PMT or PMS is when everyone around me gets extremely irritating, make too many demands on me, says hurtful things and forget to tell me they love me. It's the time when all the household chores become 100 times more difficult, lectures become more challenging and other road users forget how to drive.
Not sure how they all do this at the same time, but one thing I know for sure. It IS everyone else who is being horrible, it's NOT me being sensitive and, for goodness sake, NO! I DO NOT HAVE PMT!!!!!!!!

I was taught the rule of 70%, i.e. each of these will help about 70% of women. Vitamin B6- dose required is 50 to 100 micrograms/day. The over the counter tabs are only 10 micrograms, so see your GP for that strength. Progesterone - a hormone only available on prescription Diuretics taken for a few days pre-menstrally. The most useful is spironolactone which is chemically similar to female sex hormone. Prozac was used for a while, there was evidence that it worked, however since the drug fell under the media spotlight the manufacturers decided to remove this indication from the data sheet. Despite this some GPs will still (as they are allowed to do) prescribe it for this purpose. Evening primrose is often advocated for PMS and many people are tempted to use it as it is, unlike the medications above, available over the counter. Unfortunately Gamolenic acid, the active ingredient has been shown to be pretty worthless for PMS. It does however produce a modest improvement in the isolated symptom of cyclic mastalgia (pre period brest pain).

PMT = Pre (before) Menstrual (periods) Tension. Basically, your hormones are gearing up to reject unused eggs through your system and this needs extra hormones which are normally occupied in helping you keep calm.
You may find Evening Primrose oil helps - I certainly did.
Good luck!

Er sounds like PMT (pre-menstrual tension) to me! Admittedly PMT is normally before & during, as opposed to after, the period but it sounds like it to me, everyone's different. Unfortunately it's not curable!

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) also known as premenstrual tension (PMT), is a mixture of physical and emotional symptoms that some women experience in the days, or sometimes weeks, leading up to their menstrual period.

It sounds like PMT to me.
This happens when the oestrogen levels fluctuate in your body causing a hormone imbalance. It generally causes you to be more tearful or on edge.
Are you or have you considered going on the pill?

Pre-menstrual tension. Go to Wal-mart or any other vitamin/nutrition store and purchase some "Calms" by Highland brands. They are all natural and non-addictive. When you are on the "kill" mode, or feel it coming on, take 1-2 tabs and within 30 min. you will feel better. They just calm you down. I have used them for years and these have saved my husbands life for sure! They are good for PMS, sleep problems, and nervous tension. Give them a try, they are very inexpensive. Good Luck!
