Hell no, what would be the point of buying a new system if you could use the new games in the old system?

No that would defeat the puropse of the 360. It is a NEW system, not just a new look. Who would pay $400 for a system when an Xbox is like $100. Some Xbox games can play in the 360 though.

you can play select xbox games on your xbox360 but not the other way around. Using the xbox360 would be useless other then the increased graphics card, the better hard drive space, and the better xbox live experience. Not to mention you can watch movies without the movie thing you need to buy for the old xbox. Download game demos and access things you normally could not on the old xbox.
