Basketball is a sport in which two teams of five players each try to score points on one another by throwing a ball through a hoop (the basket) under organized rules.
Points are scored by passing the ball through the basket from above; the team with more points at the end of the game wins. A regular jump shot inside the arch is worth two points, beyond the arch is three points, and a free throw is one point. Basketball is a sport.
The objective of basketball is to get the ball (special ball made just for basketball try spalding) into the hoop which is a roung ring made of some kind of iron that hangs about 7 or 8 feet up off of a pole more times than the opposing team. Teams are made up of 6 players I don't know the exact position names for each player but you can google it. My measurements aren't exact but you can google it too or check wikipedia.com.

You have a ball that you try and throw through a hoop. You get points if you get the ball through the hoop. Geez look it up on the net.
