Why does my baby's father want to talk to me and what's wrong w/my baby's father?

Well my first question is why does my baby's father want to talk to me?Their family is muslim and myself and my baby's father just had a baby and she's 2months.Well he spoke to us about marriage before I had her but we were really having PROBLEMS. We considered but cant seem to get it together.Anyhow there family really believes in MARTIAGE>NO CHILDREN OUTTA WEDLOCK.If u know what I mean.Well I let the baby go over there twice & they love both of us to death but he keeps asking what do we want him to do as far as excepting this baby.He's a firm believer in family.Well he said he already talked to my childs father now he needs to talk to both of us again a& then me alone?Whats that about.Secondly me & my childs father got in this huge arguement about the baby spending the night & that was las monday.we finally talked later on that night and sorta got some of the past hurt off my chest.He said a lot of thing that hurt he apologized that night but hasnt called or seen h/baby in a week?
