You can't do that!! IMPOSSIBLE

Its called incompatability..

Verizon CDMA doesn't use SIM chip.

Cingular GSM use SIM chip.

They both use different technology..

CDMA = old
GSM = new

Convenience travaling all over the world..

Verizon's technology is not being use no more in other countries.. No countries in the world use it. only here in the US. Japan has similar but so far advance to the US.

GSM is the in now.. All countries use it.. So just bring your phone with you and buy a SIM chip in their country and you can use their network, also you can ROAM..

The key issue is the system that each of them use. I believe Verizon is on CDMA while Cingular is on GSM. A CDMA phone won't work on a GSM network. GSM phones are interchangeable between GSM carriers as you just need to change the SIM card.

i don't think so -- talk to cingular -- but i think you get a phone by the plan -- the whole thing is so messed up -- but a verizon pay as you go would have a pay as you go chip and cingular plan phone would have a cingular plan chip.

As long as it's wideband cdma phone only. But I don't think they make a one technology phone nowadays. So it won't work.
