This just happened recently without any warning. Any CD in the 5 shelf changer reacts the same - plays the first track and then skips to the end of the CD.

Maybe one of the settings like skip or loop stuck , can you do a master reset on the unit? Are the Cd's copy's ? Sometimes they do strange things in some changers. Is the unit under warranty before you get mad and look for a bat. Is the unit level on its shelf? Are there any icons lit on the display that you didn't notice before?

Sounds like the laser may be out of alignment.

It is probably some progamming thing gone awry. If you don't know how to reprogram it, try unplugging it.
