First check the batteries. After that press the connect button or reset button on the bottom of the mouse.
And what kind of plug are you using? I use USB but the old one that some people still use have rods in the plug. The rods may've been bent.

First be particular a ordinary stressed out mouse works if it does examine next line attempt plugging the adapter right into a diverse USB port, maximum properly known one with an intensive distance to the mouse. if that would not paintings, attempt replacing the batteries. If that would not paintings, it could be a hardware concern with the mouse, you should purpose to get a sparkling one because yours would not paintings. and if the recent mouse would not paintings, ........yikes

You have to reconnect your mouse with the receiver. Normally, you should click the Reset button on the receiver, followed by clicking the Reset button under your mouse.
Good luck!

that has happened to my bf's and we have to click it, then it will work. If that doesn't work, restart your computer. If that still doesn't work, make sure the reciever is plugged in and can "see" your mouse. Or if that still hasn't worked, reinstall using the cd it came with. Good luck!
