No you cannot. If you didn't have it then you don't know the feeling it brought you or the emotional attachment.

You can want something you never had but not miss something. You can long for something.

Example:
A child grew up without a mother/father. They could long for that security of the mother/father or want to know what it is like to have a mother/father. They cannot miss it though since they never felt their presence or knew what it was to like to have a mother/father

If it deals with the physical aspect of having something, you would never know what you missed because you never had it.

If it deals with something non physical, you may not know what you have missed.

I am a true believer that if I don't have it, I won't miss it. That is why if I have a little extra taken out of my pay to go towards my 401K, then I won't miss it because I have not directly seen the money or had possession of the money.

Yes, yes oh yes. I was a contestant on "Who wants to be a millionaire" a few years ago. During the Fasted Finger round we got asked to "Put these star trek films in the order in which they were released" - I am a big Trek fan and confidently entered my answer - however I panicked when everyonelse seemed to be doing it quicker than me and I put the last two in the wrong way round - I knew the answer, I just rushed it. When it came to look at the board NO ONE GOT IT RIGHT!!!! It was a gift - I could have been in that chair answering questions and with a chance to get a million - but I fluffed it. It hurts me even now to think of it.

Sure you can. We are constantly evolving and changing. We are always seeking out new things. I think that you can miss love, or nurturing or compassion when you have never had it. It's like someone who has lost a limb. They can still feel it, even when it's not there.

Yes, and also something you can never have:

The portrayal of love in movies is unrealistic and unachievable, yet how often do the ladies dream of the Mr Darsies and the men of their Laura Crofts? Both pretty unrealistic, but desire for perfection is human nature, I suppose....

No, you can yearn for it, but not miss it. Miss is a feeling resulting from loss. To yearn is to want or to long for something. Very similar in feeling but different in meaning.
