Does anyone know the oxidation for chloride and/or sulfide... And if possible what are the formulas? I'm not sure if they are Cl and S? I have been looking this up over 30 minutes now and I'm fed up, so any help is really appreciated!!

Chloride is an anion Cl-1 with an oxidation number -1.
Sulphide is an anion S2- with an oxidation number -2

Cl has an ocidation number of 1-
S has an oxidation number of 2-

look at your periodic table - elemetns closer to the noble gasses have lower oxidation numbers

Usually chlorine and sulfur are the ones doing the oxidation. An oxidation number? Try 1 and 2, respectively.

Cl is -1
I believe but I am not sure that S is -2
