Oh please not that old chestnut again! If it pleases you to say that we are arrogant pricks so beit. Thanks for the compliment.. at least pricks are of some use, arrogant or otherwise. We just have a strange sense of humour that's all..no malice just strange.

Love from the Granite City xx

Paul may I ask you why you say this? You must have reason as this is not the first time you have asked this question.

Molly T You are wrong and it's about time someone set the record straight about the English and Ireland. A great deal of the troubles in Irleand are of Scottish influence.

Some of them are and some of them aren't.

I'm a Scot and I'm calling you one. That's just meant to get a rise - and get an argument going - you pr!ck!

Edinburgh hasn't got any real manners. I've lived there - it is a self-righteous hole.

You've got to be kidding. The Brits are some of the nicest people on the planet. If you want to experience the epitome of arrogance talk to a Frenchman.

If you think we are arrogant, you should look at your own countrymen. Start with Gordon Brown - apart from the nationality, he fits your description perfectly. Don"t stand on any more drafty corners, the wind must be blowing up your skirt, sorry "kilt"

Paul, old pal, nice to see you. Thrown off the BBC boards at last, eh?

The answer is that when dealing with Scots it's very easy to appear arrogant when in fact one is simply exerting one's natural English superiority

"infuriated"
