Not literally, but you know...

He's too big for his britches in the position that he's in and yet, he's not emotionally mature enough for it. I didn't have a problem with my workplace until he came aboard.

I think all of us have been in that position at one time or another. I feel your pain. That is what happens when you give someone without the proper skills or training a position of authority, it go's straight to their head. Let it go, he will hang himself sooner or later. If he is annoying you, believe he is annoying others also. Just go with the flow, it wont last for ever. Can you go to someone above him and explain what is going on? If you can that is what I would do , I would write out a formal complaint regarding his actions. Unless it is just a personality conflict. Good luck

The arrogance of a cocky manager will always catch up with him at some point in time. I suggest you perform your job to the best of your ability and if you have any stumbling blocks this is his or her responsibility to knock down. Wait patiently and when he falls either pick him up or just sweep away the pieces. They will learn some valuable lessons as will you.
Sometimes the best lessons learned are how "NOT" to do things.

Sounds like the Peter Principle: He was promoted beyond his ability to handle the job. Happens everyday. Just wait around....he'll fall to the wayside when HIS boss figures it out. If not, RUN don't walk away! That place isn't worth working for!
