Please remember that the book is a work of fiction, as therefore is the film/movie, and maybe not a great deal of thought went into the game as Jk Rowling is a female.

Say the score is 160-0. The snitch ends the game. If it was the other team with 0 that scored they get 150 points. Not enough to win the game. Of course, in the House Cup at Hogwarts and the World Cup, points matter because it determines the standings.

The snitch is the equivalent of 15 goals, and ends the game. It's possible to for one team to overwhelmingly score with the quaffles which would overcome what would otherwise be an overwhelming advantage if the other team caught the snitch.

The rules of Quidditch are pointless. It's like those game shows where the host says "Okay, Dave, you're 100 points behind Helen here and you haven't won a single round yet, but there's still all to play for in our final quintuple-points round" and you wonder why they bothered with the first bit.

But as we know (from Goblet of Fire) it's possible to catch the snitch and still lose if you're far enough behind.

If your side catches the Snitch then your team receives 150 points, If the opposition has gained more points then this then they would win when your team caught the snitch.

In most games the golden snitch is not caught - the points are used in this case to decide the winner.

it is possible 2 catch the snitch and lose thegame because the snitch is worth 150 ?? points nd u actually could score more and win without catchin it!!

i must say i wondered this myself.
presumably if you score 15 goals at 10 points each or whatever the amount is, getting the snitch is equal to this, so if the team that doesnt get the snitch gets enough goals they would win

pretty damn stupid though, I agree.

What God might have for us is maximum remarkable. the top interest? What end interest? There are truly effects whichever way. in basic terms God can do God's will the mostest. i in my view, shall purpose to do as God might have me do... God speaks to us all in lots of techniques, jointly with voices, targets, visions etc. loose will operates out of determination, loose will is thereabouts the devil's will, to me in my view. it somewhat is an apple genesis tale back. do not settle for apples from the devil. do not settle for apples from the devils. Ask God approximately apple of existence, & apple of know-how. do not take from the centre tree. God so is known with. Ask God first. a lot of my braincells seem to think of they have a will, while in certainty, all they have is volition. God is known with. Will is truly undesirable, i in my view does not flow alongside that path. Grace is maximum extra advantageous. Grace comes at Grace velocity. thank you be to God.
