You can't get rid of the software, because it's the manufacturer of your system BIOS. This is software your pc cannot run without. You can try to enter the BIOS by pressing "del" while it's rebooting. Then there may be an option to turn off that "splash screen" of information.

Well this is a tricky one it sounds like. Well I had this problem at one time. Then I looked in the BIOS and checked out what was going on. This has NOTHING to do with software at all. American Megatrends is the BIOS so go in and check out the setting like power as an EXAMPLE I know for a fact that there is something in there that needs your attention.

The message you are seeing may be the result of the POST test every computer does at startup or simply a screen that shows the logo of the BIOS manufacturer (I doubt it is an error message). Every time you turn the computer on, It goes through a self check.
Some device in your system is causing this error to come up. (It can be any thing from a stuck key on your keyboard to some thing more serious like bad memory or a hard disk starting to go).
Read the screen carefully, you may be missing another line of information like "some device error.. hit F2 to continue"
Or run a PC diagnostic utility on your system. Test every component.
If it is a logo display, you can go to the CMOS setup and disable it. Usually you have to press Del or F1 or F2 as the computer is booting up to go in to the CMOS setup.

it is probably a program or backup feature that you have installed.... I wouldn't worry about it too much..... but you can probably uninstall it.... just go to control panel > add or remove programs
