see, i belong to this group of friends. counting me, there is 2 girls and 4 guys. now, during summer, my best guy friend, emerson, told me he liked me. and he knew i have always liked him. but then, when school started, he said that we should just be friends because he was really busy with work. now, a month later, i find out that he likes rachael, the other girl. and apparently he liked her since school started. that means he has been lying to me for a month. i am so jealous because it is totally obvious that she likes him back! and he still wants to be just friends! no one will help me! what do i do??

Bottom line is you don't want to be with a guy who wants to be with somebody else do you? Of course not. There is a major lesson to be learned here. Keep your friendships separate from boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. Once you start mixing the two, then all the friends end up feeling wierd around each other, and it's hard to go back to just being a group of good friends. Be glad that it's the other couple that is going through the hassel of learning this lesson and not you this time. Don't be jealous, be glad and enjoy your friendships. Find another guy to pursue, time will take care of any jealousy feelings toward your friends.

You can't force a person to love you, you know. Accept his offer of friendship but put space in between for awhile, just to pick up yourself and ready yourself to see emerson and rachel to be together for about all the time since the three of you go to school together.
He told you he liked you but that doesn't mean he wants relationship, and i think after what he has done to you, you are lucky enough you didn't had relationship with him, imagine having a relationship with him and then all of a sudden he changes his mind?! I count that as luck.

you have been misled. That is the worst to have your feelings taken advantaged of. But start thinking with your brain. Do you really want to deal with a wishy washy guy?

don't show that you're jealous. just take it as a lesson learned and be thankful that you still have him as a friend because in the end they will break up

Stop being jealous - you still have your friendship with him and with her. Trust me, you know the old cliche "There are millions of fish in the sea?" Well there are - find another fish!
