Some teen girls and women who are of age view this look as cool and mature. They love to be identified with men who look like thugs. Maybe it does something for their ego. I personally prefer a man in a pair of Dockers or Chico's with a nice shirt in or out. Just someone who is easy on the eyes, and not someone dressed where I have to figure out exactly what it is they are wearing.

Wow. If I had a boyfriend i would not gown up like that everywhere. Heck, even without boyfriend now i don't gown up like that! She's for sure an interest seeker. If I had a boyfriend i might gown up suitable or casual, yet to not the ingredient the place i appear as if i'm in a bra and undies. i might extremely placed on a stunning gown or on snug days a fabulous pair of denims and a stunning genuine/sweater/jacket on genuine. Yikes. not booty shorts and a fabric on genuine. -.-

Ha ha. I don't like guys that dress "gangsta". I like baggy jeans (not hanging so low that they are below the butt though!), and t-shirts on guys. I like guys to look like guys - I don't like that metro-sexual look that much, unless the guy is just SO masculine looking that dressing pretty doesn't take away from his masculinity. However there aren't that many guys like that.

Oh, and if they act "gansta" forget it - I don't want any part of that.

It's the whole "bad boy" image. It's fun, exciting and adventerous. Not to mention it drives the parents crazy!!! I used to date those kinds of guys, but got tired of them not having a job, treating my family/friends w/ no respect, talking like they have no education and cheating on me all the time. I ended up marrying a good guy who has a little bit of "bad boy" in him, but he only lets it show if someone threatens me or our kids. I would never marry a "gangsta" but they're ok if you're just dating. Too much drama to deal w/ for the rest of your life! No thanks!

It is the new "bad boy" image. Why did girls in the '50's and '60's like the guys in leather jackets? Because they had this I fought the law edge to them, even if it was fake.

Yeah, why? It is driving my feminist friends nuts because they fought that abusive-dependent sex role for women for decades now. I don't know which is more fun, seeing women line up to portray themselves in the 'use me, abuse me' arm-candy fashion or the NOW * cows go ballistic when they see it.

*National Organization of Women, or as Rush Limbaugh likes to say, NAGs, National Association of Gals.

Because they are jailbait and need someone to "love" them, but end up getting pregnant anyway.

The moral? Women are suckers, especially at a young age.

I think girls want to think they're being protected by these "thugs"! They'll find out that they will need to protect themselves from them!
