Last period arrived on the expected day, however, much lighter then usual. (Sept. 11/06) Neg. blood tests on Sept. 13th & 20th. Last neg. hpt Sept. 28/06. (On the pill, never miss). At this point, if pregnant, I would be 7 weeks. I've been told by my Dr. to continue taking the pill. However, I'm concerned that I am pregnant. (Increased breast size, slight nausea every now and then, weight gaining (4 lbs)). But at the same time if not, I don't want to risk actually being. Thoughts?

If all your tests have been negative, then take the doctors advice and continue taking the pill. The hpt test being neg. is a sure sign that you are not pregnant. Change in period is not abnormal even when you are on the pill, and seem to be predictable. Your body goes through many changes in life, and this is just one more thing that changes. I wouldn't stress out too much about it bc stress could be the cause for disruptions in your cycle. Stay on the pill unless you really do want to get pregnant.

Do not stop your pill unless you want to get pregnant. I took my pregnancy test the Monday before I was scheduled to start because my breast were so sore it hurt to wear a bra and I was tired more than usual. I usually started on a Wednesday but it still showed up very positive, so did the second one, and the blood test at the dr's office. I was on the pill and had been since the birth of my 16 year old daughter. I have a healthy 9 month old who is into everything, so staying on the pill until you are able to find out for sure is not going to hurt the baby. I had a friend who thought she was pregnant and got off them, she wasn't but soon ended up that way. Best of luck.

If you are really worried, stop taking them until you know for sure.
At the same time, it probably won't really hurt the baby if you are. Those creatures are very small and very strong! Lots of people do a lot of stupid things before they knew they were pregnant and had perfectly healthy babies.

In my personal experience, I didn't test positive for 8 weeks, but I did miss my periods. Other symptoms, like breast size, nausea and weight gain are not reliable indicators of pregnancy.

Good luck!

3 negative tests? You're not pregnant. So go back on the pill and only do oral until you feel better.

the blood test are pretty accurate so if the test said neg then you're probably not so yeah keep taking the pills i don't think your doctor would tell you to take them if it was a bad idea.
