Hello everyone, my husband and I are trying to have a baby, and this was our 2nd month of trying, I get to take a test on Saturday to see if we concieved... but I don't feel pregnant.... I don't have any symptoms except very mild cramping and that could be due to my period coming next week (possibly, hopefully not) I was just wondering how long did it takes some other women to get pregnant, and if they had immediate symptoms or not.... I want this to be a surprise for my family and friends so we haven't told anyone we are trying so I don't have anyone to talk to, and I just wanted some stories to relate to.... I thank you so much for your time!!!!

I know a lot of people that had immediate symptoms - I didn't. When I was pregnant for the first time, my breasts felt the same, I wasn't sick, I felt normal for the first few months! Looking back, I realize I was eating a lot of eggs, but that's about it. I remember wondering if I really was pregnant after the test came back positive because I felt just fine!

I hope you are pregnant! It is a wonderful time in your life. If not, don't get discouraged, just keep having fun trying. ;)

I went off the Pill in January and got pregnant in March, only to miscarry in April at 6 weeks after telling the whole world, of course. Once I started talking about the miscarriage more, I found out how totally common they are and felt less alone. So 2 tries that for us. My doc recommended 2 normal periods before trying again so I got my June period and then my July period and was pregnant again first try, this one stuck-we're 14 weeks now. But it's not that easy for everybody so keep your chin up if you don't get pregnant right away...FYI-I knew I was pregnant the first week with both - you won't have any pregnancy symptoms persay, because implantation doesn't even occur for a week after and your HCG levels don't start to rise until then, but mild cramping, I felt kind of tingly everywhere, like I had taken Benadryl or something (I know that probably sounds wierd), and just "a feeling" that something was different. You should be able to take a test 3-4 days before your missed period-just be sure to get a 2 pack of at least 2 different brnads of tests if you do that...I was able to tell I was pregnant with EPT on July 23rd and my period wasn't due until July 30th

Well from my experience I cramped and that had me thinking that i was coming on my period and in my case i wanted to. I was not looking forward to having kids at THAT time, but after maybe a month when ever i would lay on my back i could feel just a really little pudgy right at the bottom of my stomach, above my Virgina. You will also feel a difference if your alt least a month 1/2 if u laid on you're stomach to but how i knew for all three of my kids is to lay on my back and press down on the bottom of my stomach and if i felt any additional pressure then what i was giving or a ball then i knew. Everyone is different and cramps means nothing they always had me fooled.

hey, it took me like 5 months to get pregnant! I wasnt trying hard but I wanst not trying ether. I think I was do to "morning sex" I recomend trying that when you are near ovulation! I think that your body is more relaxed! I did have cramps down low that felt just like period cramps. I was hunched over the bed saying anyday now anyday now. My period is always on time and I knew something was up I took the test and it was positive. I agree with the other people relax and enjoy it will happen when the timing is right. I know thats hard to do when you want a baby more than anything, but ....................You have to! Best of luck to you and your husband!

Im also wanting to get pregnate, and friend of mine has been married a month and started trying right away and just found out that she is.

The statisc I've heard is that it can take up to 8 months.

It also can vary becasue of any sort of birth control you have used in the past. Some can take time to get out of your system (like the hormonal kind) where as others are imediately reverable, like spermacides and condoms

Hello,
It took me about 2 years to concieve... but I was not taking anything to concieve we were just trying. I never use to work out or anything. Then about 6 or 7 months ago, I started eating right and working out regularly, and boom I got pregnant... I dont know if that is why but it worked for me. I am almost 5 months now.

I am pregnant now 32 weeks and my pregnancy was planned. I had sex during the time that I was ovulating and that is right after you have your period. So within those 14 days, I made sure that I was having sex and the next month I started to feel sick and nauseated.

So good luck and keep trying...

It took us a grand total of..... one try. Within about a week of finding out, the morning sickness started. That is the only way I knew I was pregnant. Didn't gain weight, didn't skip a period (was actually implantation bleeding). We were not absolutley convinced until we went to the doc 3 weeks later and he said I was. I went ahead and told everyone anyway, I was excited :-)

With my son, I no idea untill my sister brought it up. With my daughter I just knew. I swear with in two days of conseption I would be feeling great with a lot of energy then out of no where I would feel like a wave of exastion just hit me. But it took about a year with my son and a week with my daughter. The average couple takes between 6-9 months
