Yes i do live in chic and no doubt i am in love with it. I have visited alot of cities, theres something good and bad in all places and there is a negative aspect in chic too; the COLD. My experience says Chic carries less segregation than other states and cities. The cities in the west are good for the weather, but they more expensive, maybe I am biased. I strongly feel, Chicago is one of the best cities in the US.

This guy who downed chicago must've had some rough times but I am from Chicago, lived in Vegas nine years, been to a lot of places and nothing beats Chicago.... Why did Oprah decide to keep her show in Chicago after twenty something years. Because of its people, first and foremost. So much in Chicago - the museums, the lakefront, the nightlife, the downtown area, the great restaurants, neighborhoods, architecture - the list goes on. . . Like any big city, though, there are a few run-down neighborhhods and a few gangs but outside of this, Chicago is the place. . .

Yes I've lived in Chicago all my life and yes I love it. Chicago is one of the cleanest accessable cities around since I went to New York and Washington DC and both cities were nasty and dirty and hard to get around. In Chicago you can get a good meal in a clean and efficiently run restaurant. The hotels are awesome and if you got the funds to spend go all out for a good place. Los Angeles was pretty bad with the traffic and the crappy directions from the natives when trying to find something. Chicagoans at least can give you correct information. If you want the best pizza around Chicago is the spot for it we have an endless array of restaurants that serve Chicago style pizza. Giordanos and Ginos are the top two best spots for pizza.

I currenty live in Chicago and like any big cities it has its share of problems but I still think it's a great place to live. I like it for the fact that it is cultured and there is always something to do. Summers are great in Chicago - there's always something big going on. I wouldn't compare it to any of the other big cities - for one thing, it's in the midwest and although it's a big city, there's definitely a midwest feel about it. I would say it's a really diverse city. The one thing that bothers me about Chicago is that it's incredibly racially segregrated. If you take the red line el and ride it all the way north and then all the way south - you'll know what I mean. You definitely know what races live where.

Been to Chicago 3x and absolutely love it! I live in Hawaii and I always get asked why do I go on vacation to Chicago! My husband always gives me a choice: Chicago, New York, D.C. or Vegas. I always pick Chicago.
I like the city atmosphere, attractions are easily in walking distance, everyone I've encountered was very friendly and helpful (could be I'm in the tourist area).
Chicago is just so cultured! I love the feeling while I'm there. And the Diamond District helps alot! Just wish I could get through the Oprah phone ticket line!

Lake Shore Drive and The draw bridge. My grandmother lived in a high rise facing the water. Storms would throw water onto Lake Shore drive. I was always afraid of the draw bridge. Last time I was there I went to the museum to see the man eating tigers that the movie was about starring Van Kilmore(? sp). The dead sea scrolls were there and Tyrannosaurs "Sue" The city hap lots of great stuff but living there I would not survive as I am from the south and the north like Cicago is too strange to me.

I grew up on the s. side of Chicago. And it's a friggin HOLE. It's a huge racist city. Blacks hate anything that's not black, and whites are so sick of appologizing, they aren't sorry, but now they hate blacks just as bad. It's expensive and the traffic SUCKS @$$. Mayor Daily is a drunk f*cker, who needs to be replaced because there's so much corruption, I'm not even sure Bush is bad anymore. Yeah, what cities are better? ANY. But the first US city I would say that reigns supreme in all the American states is HONOLULU! Lowest crime rate in the world next to Tokyo.
I hope one day Chicago falls into Lake Michigan.

I am not from Chicago, but I LOVE it there! It is an amazing city that I think people underrate sometimes. If the cost of living were not so expensive (9% sales tax?!) I would live there in a heart beat. Its got one up on places like Cincinnati (my hometown) or Indianapolis, but I think Boston has it beat!
All in all, it's my kind of town ;)!

Lived in Chicago all my life. It is great. It has everything, from shopping, the beach, restaurants, theatre, art, museums all the way to rocks 'n blows, gangs, murder, crime, racism, segregation. If it didn't have the negative stuff people would complain about that too. I love Chicago & wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
