To find the slope and -intercept of an equation, put it in the y=mx+b form, m will be the slope, and b will be the y value of teh y-intercept.

since there is no y, this is a vertical line, parallel to the y axis, and 2/5 unit to the left of the axis. There is no y-intercept, and the slope is undefined.

slope = 1 and y intercept = 2/5

There is no slope. There is no y-intercept. It's a vertical line that crosses point (-2/5) on the coordinate plane.

It could be, you didn't give us enough information...

Slope = undefined (can't divide by 0)

y-intercept: there is none

the line x= -2/5 is vertical and cuts the x-axis at -2/5

this line will never cut the y-axis therefore there is no y intercept

if you have two points on the line A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2)

the gradient(slope) of the line is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

but since x2=x1, (x2-x1)=0 and the slope is a singularity- ie it is

undefined

i hope that helps
