I just moved to the south, and have noticed that many black men around here have long fingernails - young and old. Why? It looks so strange.

yaeh, i noticed that! they seem to care a lot about what their nails look like, which is cool.

I do NOT know whether this is true or not, but I have heard that men with long fingernails, and especially ones that have maybe 1 or 2 long fingernails, are drug users.
They keep a fingernail or 2 long because it's easier to snort the cocaine that way.
Again, I do NOT know whether this is urban legend or not, but I have heard this many of times.

Because they like um that way, I know quite a few white men that have long fingernails also. I think it is just a matter of preference. And they look ok in my opinion as long as they are kept clean and manicured.

i heard that all men have a long fingernail because they can remove stuff easely like you know it will be sharp
