I recommend betta fish. They are freshwater tropical fish. They are easy to care for. An excellent beginner's fish or one for an expert that needs a "break" from constant day to day care. They can live without filttration. They can live in a bowl as small as a gallon but no smaller. They don't get along with each other but they do get along well with other tropical fish that are not fin nippers.

Sorry however the Pictus catfish and Rainbow shark might would desire to circulate, they like a lots bigger aquarium. And with them long previous i might for my area get a bristlenose pleco or cory's for the aquariums bottomfeeders, alongside with an area like some diverse tetras or gouramis, yet once you get any gourami do not placed them with different male gouramis or bettas, because of the fact they are of an identical species initially, they are all labrynth fish. varieties of fish you are able to put in are Mollies, Tetras, Guppies. you purchased alot of thoughts. however the latter one would desire to be stored basically men otherwise they're going to breed like they're going to die in the event that they don't. for my area it rather is my cutting-edge setup and im nonetheless searching for slightly extra filling the place accessible. 4 Skunk cory's + a million 3 lined cory (he's the final of his college) (unfavorable guy his college could be 10 years previous now) a million Pearl gourami... and curiously. Atm a million pond snails that im gonna get an murderer snail to handle quickly sufficient ;)

Depending on your tank size and your tastes I would say
Mollies, platys, gouramis, silver dollars, bala sharks, parrot fish, plecos, tetras
Big fish- Oscars, pacu, severum
Not all of these will be compatable with each other. Talk to your local pet store owner and he/she should be able to guide you

How big is the tank? Would you like schooling fish or something more aggressive?

Search through here http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/categ.cfm?pcatid=830 and find out what fish appeals to you and what size tank and water requirements they have. Search through here http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/fwcompatibility_chart.cfm to find out which fish will get along together.
