Fascism
1. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

2. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government.

What in the world does this have to do with religion?

Certainly this this a phrase made up by the right wing scheme machine...

But even if there is such a thing as "Islamo-fascism"; there would almost certainly have to be group of a "christio-fascists" lurking about in the bushes somewhere.

What would these "christio-facists" look like?
Hmmm...

By the way the definition of 'Fascism' reminds me of an administration that the description fits very well. I am sure you know of whom I speak.

Have you ever looked at the government of Iran? This isn't a ring wing thing, as I am a libertarian not a right winger. How can you say that Bush is a Christo-fascist...or however you are spelling it, but the idea that the Ayatollah is a Islamo-fascist is wrong? By the definition you yourself laid out above a large percentage of governments that are officially Islamic are also fascistic.

Islamofascism :

- seeks a return to sharia laws
- seeks the violent restoration to a caliphate
- is by its nature violently antisemitic and misogynous (anti-women)

This form of radicalism exploits Islam to serve a violent, political vision: the establishment, by terrorism and subversion and insurgency, of a totalitarian empire that denies all political and religious freedom.

It is the attempt by fascist Republicans to divert the derision to another more easily hated group. Something they are very good at.
